Some of our MBD crew have been vinyl toy fans since the early 2000’s. That’s when a guy named Paul Budnitz introduced us to the urban vinyl movement that was happening in Hong Kong by opening Kidrobot stores in America and later starting Superplastic. Paul was inspired by the “godfather of urban vinyl designer toys” Michael Lau, a Japanese artist whose style was inspired by graffiti and skate culture. Since then artists like KAWS, Takashi Murakami, Frank Kozik, Ron English, James Jarvis and so many more have been inspiring and leading the contemporary art world by breaking records at auction houses and sought after by the finest museums in the world.

My son is obsessed with purple and will ONLY brush his teeth with his luna tooth brush and corresponding paste. I was so happy to find this vinyl on the website to surprise him with. Luna is now a staple for bath time.

My four kids all have different character toothbrushes and toothpastes but they all love the luna vinyl. A really fun and creative item to add to their bathroom.
