Some of our MBD crew have been vinyl toy fans since the early 2000’s. That’s when a guy named Paul Budnitz introduced us to the urban vinyl movement that was happening in Hong Kong by opening Kidrobot stores in America and later starting Superplastic. Paul was inspired by the “godfather of urban vinyl designer toys” Michael Lau, a Japanese artist whose style was inspired by graffiti and skate culture. Since then artists like KAWS, Takashi Murakami, Frank Kozik, Ron English, James Jarvis and so many more have been inspiring and leading the contemporary art world by breaking records at auction houses and sought after by the finest museums in the world.

Saw this guy at my nephews house and somehow ended up buying him while online shopping in the middle of the night. I have an extensive vinyl collection that was craving something new and this guy added some newness to the rest of the collection.

My kids have been eyeing these creatures at our dentist appointment. My daughter got a full teeth cleaning and came back with NO cavities so our dentist gave her an Alien vinyl. My 9 month old lost it... he's still very young but every time we go into the dental office he asks to play with the Monster one. I follow Made by Dentists on Instagram and saw they released these creatures. I bought it right away! My 9 month old is ecstatic, and now I plan on making his 1 yr birthday Chunk/Monster theme.

My kids absolutely love chunk the monster. They have the toothbrushes and the toothpaste already so I was so happy that made by dentists released these cool vinyls.
